glass skin vs dewy skin: what's the difference?

two words for a very good glow

Glass skin and dewy skin get thrown around like synonyms, but they describe slightly different finishes, and knowing the difference helps you actually get the look you want.

glass skin

Glass skin is the ultra-smooth, poreless-looking, almost translucent finish, like a clear pane of glass. It is all about deep hydration and an even surface, so light bounces off evenly. It leans clear and refined.

dewy skin

Dewy skin is softer and more lit-from-within, a fresh, just-moisturised radiance with a little more bounce and glow. Less glass, more morning-after-a-good-sleep. (Yes, it is also our favourite word, and our mask.)

how to get either one

Both start in the same place: a strong, hydrated moisture barrier. You do not need a fourteen-step routine, you need consistency. Hydrate well, support your barrier, and keep it simple.

For the dewy version, reset a couple of nights a week with our dewy collagen wrapping mask, then keep skin nourished nightly with veil. Two steps, real glow.

Glow is a mindset. Show up for your skin, and it shows up for you.
